What is your greatest strength when it comes to design?

My greatest strength in design is my ability to balance creativity with strategic thinking. I often wear many hats when resources aren’t available, which has allowed me to constantly improve from having to think on my feet. Additionally, I’m a total computer nerd. I love testing out new techniques and methods as trends evolve.

What is the area you need to grow the most?

One area I’m actively working to improve is my proficiency with data-driven design decisions, specifically in UX research. While I’ve always focused on designing with the user in mind, I want to master being able to interpret and apply data from usability tests and analytics more effectively.

What excited you about Mekanic?

What excites me the most about Mekanic is the opportunity to blend my experience in the non-profit sector with a creative agency setting. Having worked with DC non-profits like Whitman-Walker Health and Us Helping Us, I’ve developed a passion for purpose-driven design that contributes to a larger cause. At the same time, my experience at Dreamscape Marketing gave me an appreciation for face-paced projects of any scope as well as creating processes to allow projects to run smoothly. Mekanic’s mission to collaborate with values-driven organizations aligns perfectly with my career history and passion for impactful design.
