Co-lead by Whitman-Walker Institute & The National LGBT Cancer Network, Transforming Healthcare provides the recommended national standards and best practices for cultural competency trainings of healthcare and social service providers and staff.
The goal of developing this online toolkit is to enhance the quality and impact of training sessions for healthcare providers and staff. Working closely with the Policy & Advocacy team, we meticulously sorted through hundreds of white papers, resources, and exercises to curate interactive resources tailored to the needs of providers and their teams.
By elevating their knowledge, attitudes, and skills, we aim to strengthen the provider-patient relationship and improve the overall quality of healthcare services. This initiative also focuses on addressing and reducing the health disparities faced by these communities, ensuring more equitable health outcomes.
Toolkit Update
Due to the overwhelming success, Whitman-Walker Institute will be relaunching the Cultural Competency toolkit with an updated user experience, personalized exercises and more. We're expected to relaunch on July 2024!
